Product Description

**ALL NEW 2016 DESIGN!!**

  • Stops the Squirrels
  • Opens on one side to fit around any existing post system
  • Easily mounts to poles from 1/2 inch to 2 inches in diameter
  • 3 stainless steel springs allow the baffle to move up and down and side to side
  • Galvanized to prevent rust

Similar to the baffle on our popular Squirrel Stopper Deluxe Pole System, this SQUIRREL STOPPER Universal Baffle (SQUB05) now features an all new metal design.

Fits around any existing post system (including shepherd's hooks) up to 2 inches diameter.

Uses our patented spring technology, so baffle moves up and down and side to side when squirrels try to climb it.

Guaranteed to stop squirrels from ground attacks!

Mount your Squirrel Stopper Universal Baffle to any existing pole, up to 2 inches in diameter without disassembling the pole. The baffle works best when used on a pole located at least 10 feet from any trees, walls, or overhangs (anything a squirrel may use to jump from).

  1. New Design Is Great

Posted by JIm on Jul 25th 2016

I had a plastic baffle that worked great until the squirrels figured out that all they needed to do was chew the hole at the top of the baffle bigger and they are through. I contacted Squirrel Stopper and told them they have a wonderful product but if was made of metal it would be perfect. They got back to me right away and informed me of the new design that is made of metal. I received the new version and not only is the thing made of metal the springs are much larger which is great. This is a great product and the thing really works.

  2. Hard to assemble

Posted by Unknown on Jul 17th 2016

I found the baffle difficult to assemble on the pole. May be ahead to assemble off pole and then separate the pole to install. The design is great and functions exceptionally well.

  3. It really works!

Posted by PB Somers CT on May 2nd 2015

We just ordered our third one. It is entertaining to see how "baffled" the squirrels and chipmunks are. The only thing we had to add was a small strip of duck tape at the neck to secure the top ring. We highly recommend this product!

  4. Absolutely no more squirrels!

Great contraption and a bit pricey but instantly no squirrels eating my bird feed.

  5. Great baffle!

Posted by Liz D. on Jul 25th 2014

I'm very pleased with the appearance and function of this baffle. I've purchased three Universal Squirrel Stopper Baffles over the past couple of years for feeders with various pole diameters in my gardens. All work like a charm!

  6. Effective for 1 year

Posted by James McElhaney on Jul 16th 2014

This is my second Squirrel Stopper Baffle (SSB). The first was effective for almost a year. The squirrel apparently climbed up inside the SSB and chewed through the dome top. When I dismantled the SSB one of he three springs was missing. Don't know if it was missing before the squirrels climbed up or they knocked it loose from climbing up inside.

  7. No more chasing squirrels

Posted by Dee on Apr 28th 2014

I bought this baffler for my husbands birthday, because he was constantly going out and chasing the squirrels off the bird feeders. Now we can enjoy watching the birds, the birds are always at the feeders because the squirrels aren't eating the food. The food lasts so much longer.
If you purchase this product I'm sure you will agree that it works.
Putting it on the pole is another story. Need two people. In the end...it is worth it.

  8. Somewhat difficult to assemble

Posted by Gloria Samad on Apr 26th 2014

I think it will work but haven't seen any squirrels testing it yet.

  9. Works so far

Posted by Tom Higgins on Apr 9th 2014

I really bought it to prevent an invasion of a raccoon family since i had a squirrel deterrent on the pole. It was a long time before I even saw a squirrel try to get through the baffle. I have a 3/4 inch steel pole and I only recently saw one go up the pole and into the underside of the barrel. Moments later he just came out.

  10. Squirrel Stopper working !

Posted by Paul G on Jan 2nd 2014

Have only had the Stopper for 5 days .. but .. so far squirrels have not been able to attack the feeders. We usually have 5 or 6 squirrels that hang around our feeders on a daily basis .. so far we seem to have 'defeated' them .. at least for now. We know they are clever and persistent and are just figuring out their new plans of attack .. but .. for now .. we'll claim a victory in our war against the critters. Per previous comments setting up is a little awkward tying to set spring and tighten screws on the bouncing baffle, does take at least 2 people to set up.. and I wish pole flange that fits on top of baffle would be abit more secure .. it's popped out twice since I've installed.. but .. these are small inconveniences .. after trying numerous squirrel prevention methods .. this has been the best !
